Minnie knits a sweater and Pluto hates it.
A person or in this case pet getting an ugly sweater they
dislike is pretty standard, but what makes this short fun is the various ways
Pluto tries to get out of the sweater.
He ties it around a twig, does a cool walk cycle when he gets it off his
legs, gets tangled in it several times, and then shrinks it by falling into a
puddle. I also love his attempts to get
back inside the front door and Figaro ratting him out when he hides under the
couch.
I called the end gag
where Figaro ended up in a sweater too though I didn’t think it would be the
same one, nor did I call the hooded monster jump scare gag where Pluto scares
Minnie while wearing his shrunken sweater.
Figaro instead of having gags of trying to get the sweater off gets some
great facial expressions that lets us know that he hates the sweater too.
All in all I thought this was a fun short with some nice
animation and a great title card too where it looks like a knitted pattern thus
matching the sweater theme. Nothing groundbreaking, but most shorts aren't, just a fun way to be be entertained for less than ten minutes.
