Okay so if Cinderella
II expanded a story that didn’t really need to be developed further. Then the best follow up to that film is to erase
all of it along with the original film completely!

Let’s Review a Movie: Cinderella II: Dreams Come True (2002)
So fifty years after the release of the classic film that
still has high marketability even today some high executive at Disney decided
that it needed a direct to DVD sequel that would help define the early 2000s as
a Dork Age for the company. So for this
Disney fan that rather liked the original Cinderella
both for its look and story my response to this thing is a resounding…meh.

Let’s Review a Movie: The Lion King 1 ½ (2004)
You know the title card for this film where the background
cracks apart just really sums up this film in a nutshell. This thing is wrecked on arrival.

Let’s Review a Movie: The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride (1998)
Well The Lion King
was the highest grossing animated film in its day, and still is in the category
of traditionally hand-drawn films. Therefore
the powers that be decided that it certainly needed to get a straight to video
sequel to rake in the cash and who cares if it measures up to the original or
not.

Monsters University – Early Thoughts
Well I’ve decided to declare it sequel summer for the blog

latest sequel to their 2001 hit movie Monsters
Inc. Please note that this review
contains spoilers under the cut.

Let’s Review a Movie: Superman Doomsday (2007)
The first release of the DC animated direct to DVD animated
movies done by Bruce Timm and his great creative team after completing their
long run on several superhero TV shows from Batman
the Animated Series all the way up to Justice
League Unlimited.

Let’s Review a Movie: Cinderella (1950)
Well this film doesn’t need a big introduction. It’s the well-known rags to riches story that
with this adaptation provided that for the Disney studio as well. It was a huge success that pulled the studio
back from the brink after the lean years post world war two. Opening the doors for more feature films,
more television shows, and of course Disneyland. But is it as good now as it was then?

Star Trek: Into Darkness – Early Thoughts
The first review I ever did for this blog was on Star Trek 2009. I didn’t like it and spent a lot of time
discussing the few pros and the laundry list of cons I thought that film had. So now that the sequel has finally arrived
what do I think of it? Well…let’s just
say there’s still a lot to talk about.
This review contains FULL SPOILERS for the film you have been warned.

A few notes on Star Trek: Into Darkness
Well anyone familiar with my blog will know that I don’t
care that much for the latest incarnation of Star Trek. With the sequel just days away now I thought
I’d give my views going into this next release.
